Words from students & Schedules:

Tricia-Ann Kee, Singapore: "Samantha's workshop has been a truly inspiring experience for me!  Being a novice to jewelry-making, Samantha is extremely patient and encouraging.  She delivers her workshop with great enthusiasm and lots of personal touch.  She never fails to impress me with her passion, boundless energy and creativity.  Her workshops are truly a class of its own.  I always look forward to attending her classes."

Karen Lim, Australia:

“Samantha is very creative, extremely patient and most of all, has a true passion for making jewelry. This passion comes across in all her works of art as well as in her teaching. Her workshops have been wonderful and in the process, I discovered a new hobby that I can really enjoy in Shanghai. They are very well organised and I picked up new techniques in every class. Her enthusiasm for her art truly inspires you to practise, practise, practise and improve your skills!”

Marylis Sevilla-Gonzaga, United States: “Bitten by the jewelry-making bug but unwilling to tackle the jungle of Yuyuan Garden's wholesale markets by myself, I joined jewelry designer Samantha Lim's guided tour. It saved me a lot of time and frustration. Cheerful and focused, she leads a quick-paced but thorough introduction to quality, foreigner-friendly suppliers of threads, ribbons, beads, tools, findings, etc. Aside from a map to help you find your way around the maze, she provides a running commentary and tips on what to be wary of and what NOT to buy in China. Thanks Samantha!”

Lotte Han, Canada: “I have come across many people offering lessons in jewelry design and I found Samantha is a cut above them all in the sense that not only she knows the fine art of making jewelry, but also her creativity in teaching it. She is a source of inspiration to her students, myself included, have benefited greatly from her lessons. On top, Samantha contributes a donation to Bao Bei Foundations on all her classes, what is better than having fun learning and making jewelry and at the same time lending a helping hand in charity work!”

Rupa Mukherjee, India: "Her approach to designing is indeed unique and awesome. Every pattern is interesting. I have specially enjoyed her unique approach to different weaving techniques. Every lesson is full of details that none but Samantha can suggest. She guides us to the markets and specifically tells us where to buy stuff giving us tips all the time to suit our budgets. I shall always remember her as a dedicated person who has achieved a lot at a very young age. Thank you Samantha for the patience you show in handling our mistakes and correcting them all the time."
